Moving between images and PDFs

Scans, receipts and forms tend to travel as both an image and a PDF. These go in either direction, and the OCR tool gets the text back out of a scan.

Images to PDF Put several photos into one PDF in the page order you choose. The usual route for receipts and ID scans. PDF to images Pull pages out as JPG or PNG images at 144 DPI, sharp enough for slides and web pages. Compress images Shrink the source photos first when the finished PDF has to stay under an upload limit. OCR a scanned PDF Read the text off a scan so you can search it, copy from it, or paste it elsewhere.
