No. Each tool reads your files in the browser tab and does the work there. The page downloads the code it needs, such as PDF.js or the OCR engine, from a public CDN, but your files are not sent anywhere. A few optional features rely on an outside service and say so on their own page. The Translate button on the OCR tool, for example, sends the recognized text to a translation service.
Browsers can already decode images, read PDFs and encode audio and video. The tools use those built-in abilities (Canvas, Web Audio, WebCodecs and WebAssembly), so the processing happens on your computer or phone.
Many tools accept a batch, including the image converters, the image compressor, Images to PDF and the PDF merger, and the image tools let you download the whole batch as one ZIP file. Tools that work on a single document or recording, such as the PDF viewer or the video compressor, take one file at a time.
